Kashratul has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi Monks,

Is it possible to remortly access an application using Win32::OLE?

Let say I have 'quality center' in one system (lets say its IP add is xxx.xx.xxx.xx)

Now I want to remortly access 'quality center' from my system.

Also apart from using Win32::OLE is there any other way to do this.

Thanks for any help.

Regards

In the past I have used psexec from sysinternals to kick off applications on remote Windoze machines. It is free, but not open source.

You could call psexec from within your perl scripts, depending on what you want to do, how things slot together.

I'd be keen to hear of native Perl methods also.
