The ruby hacker _why presented an idea for getting ruby on AppEngine.
The idea involved converting ruby bytecode to python bytecode, but fell off the edge in the end due to an apparent attention deficit disorder. Though there were some interesting comparison drawn about the internal similarities between ruby and python. Maybe someone wants to convert perl opcodes to python bytecode? Someday parrot should be able to do this...
