Eli-Sko began programming in the mid-70s, but was only introduced to the glory of Perl by a system administrator in 1996, as an alternative to C for writing CGI s‎crip‎ts. Failing to attain ultimate enlightenment, he WAS immediately able to recognize the fundamental kewlness of the language.

Over the years, Perl has been a well-used tool on Eli-Sko's Programming Work Bench. (Alas! for the loss of those simpler times when PWB, WWB, and DWB were heard throughout the land of the One True Operating System like the clear ringing of a Bell!)
