Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Does any one is running Perl5.6 on Solaris 2.5.1 successfully ? I tried to compile source codes for Perl5.6, which failed ?

Any idea about installing Perl oth than default directory so as I donot disturb running Perl5.004_04 on the same server ?

    You might want to just wait a few more days and grab the real 5.6.1—it's in very late gamma ("fools gold" they call it) right now, and should receive the "gold master pumpkin seal" within some 2 or 3-digit number of hours.
