This morning I read a post by brian_d_foy announcing Strawberry Perl Portable 5.10 Alpha release. Though this is an Alpha release, I am really glad to see it.

I think that this is a great step forward, and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in Strawberry Perl for the fantastic work they have done so far. At lunchtime I will be installing this on my USB Pen drive which currently contains my (CPAN::Mini generated) CPAN mirror.

Update: (06/04/2009) I've just noticed Strawberry Perl Portable 5.10 Beta 2.
