It's amazing how far I fall when you topple the pedestal you put me on.

Now re-read what I wrote from the perspective of me just being an ordinary guy, puzzled why someone said something "works". Like for what values did he test it? And read his response, which didn't show any insult in my statement at all.

Man, I sure wish people would treat me like a human being. Really. I ask questions because I'm curious, not because I'm trying to be condescending.

    And you know what? I set myself up for much worse than that. I got my knickers twisted by a few terse comments, and I let loose with a tirade that was neither fair to you nor appropriate in this forum.

    When I first read your response, I went and tried to find your earlier comments that I got annoyed by--trying to reread. I couldn't find them amidst the near-glut of detailed, helpful messages in your history. If I'd done a minute's research, I could have saved myself considerable embarassment.

    I apologize. I hope in the future to keep my feet out of my mouth and my head out of my, er, the dark.
