As a rabid anti-spam zealot, I've developed a module to perform (DNS) queries of the Project Honey Pot http:BL for blog/contact form protection. I intend to upload the beastie to CPAN so that others might join in the epic battle against one of the great evils of the internets today. I believe that the best place for it might be in the Net namespace (Net::HttpBL seems appropriate) but 'tis not for me alone to decide.
DNS queries are easy enough to perform but I believe that making http:BL queries falling-off-of-a-log simple may serve to increase the http:BL user base, and so benefit all who use it. Myself included :)
So, what say you, my esteemed peers?
