can Spreadsheet::WriteExcel restrict entries with a drop-down box

Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hello,

I finally succeeded in using Spreadsheet::WriteExcel to create a spreadsheet; now, the format of the spreadsheet I need has changed, and several cells must include drop-down boxes to restrict entries. I can't find any examples of this in the WriteExcel documentation - has anyone tried this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update: 2008-08-11. This feature is now available as part of data validation in version 2.23+ of Spreadsheet::WriteExcel John. --	[reply]
