perl and PAR

becca23 has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I am trying to install PAR to create an .exe from a perl script. I installed PAR using the ppm, but when I run pp the command line says that it is not recognized as a valid command. Update: I have PAR-packer installed. I tried to uninstall and reinstall it but that option is grayed out in ppm

Did you read the PAR documentation, it states that pp is now part of PAR::Packer. Install PAR::Packer and you should not have this problem. See Re: PAR for making exes if you need help installing this. Hope this helps Martin	[reply]

I'm about to install par soon too, i've not done it for quite some time, but one thing * you may need to append the path to 'pp' in you PATH environment variable * hth Isaac Close	[reply]
