I am pretty sure that perlcc has been removed from Perl 5.10. See What happened to perlcc?. I do know that it has been buggy for years, and most would suggest that you would be better using PAR and pp (which is now part of PAR::Packer.

Do not mess around with the version of Perl that ships with your OS, read Uninstalling / installing perl or super search for more reasons why.

      Aye, that's documented in perl595delta.
