I timidly approach the mighty Monks of Perl, wondering if this is where I belong..... Has anyone requested RSS feeds from Perl Monks. An RSS feed from SoPW would make it much easier to keep an eye on new posts. I'm trying to keep up there so that I can have a better chance to contribute. I want my posts to be better than my first attempt, which in retrospect was premature and probably bad advice. The ability to subscribe to a specific post would also be great (keep up with replys posted to my questions or to questions of interest)

Thanks

According to the link kyle posted, newest nodes xml generator has these abilities:
Returns basic information about the most recent nodes and users.
Optional parameter of types=typename,typename,... controls what types of nodes are returned. Default types are:
CUFP note poem user quest snippet perlnews perlcraft bookreview obfuscated sourcecode monkdiscuss modulereview perlquestion perltutorial perlmeditation categorized answer categorized question

If you had tried doing a Super Search for "RSS" in PMD titles, you'd know.

Between the mind which plans and the hands which build, there must be a mediator... and this mediator must be the heart.
If PerlMonks has RSS feeds then why aren't they being advertised (or whatever the correct jargon is)?!? IE7 indicates that no feeds have been detected and I assume Firefox will indicate something similar. So why would you expect someone to do a Super Search given that information?!?

Given that RSS capabilities have been integrated into web browsers for a fairly long time now I think it's reasonable to expect PerlMonks to advertise the feeds. Or at least create a "feed" that links to the nodes discussing the RSS and XML capabilities of the site.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm still new around here, and the Super Search just didn't occur to me (duh). Anyway, After looking through the 20 or so most recent posts that come back from that search, I haven't found anything about a PM Native way to use RSS to watch a specific thread. Am I still missing something? I really don't want to use an off-site RSS feed, in that these sources would be more likely to quit working than something maintained by the Monks directly.
