Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I have researched all over the place and I need to find the process list on a Win98 machine with their PID's so I can then kill them off... All in PERL of course... Any help would be greatful

    Methinks that Win32::Process can be useful for you. CPAN is your friend!

    I've never done this with Perl, but it looks like you can use Win32::API. Look at this and it will tell you what you need to access in the API.

    You might try Win32SnapWalk by t0mas. It seems to do exactly what you want. I can't vouch for it, because it won't work for me -- according to the MSDN API reference, it uses an API call that's only available in 95/98/2000, but not NT.
