Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Dear Monks I inherited a HTC pocket computer and would like to have perl on it but cannot find any information about how to do this.

I'm a bit lost since I can't even find a cmd shell.

This thing is running Windows Mobile 5.0 (OS 5.1.465 build 15673.3.1)

Any leads would be much appreciated.
thanks

Strawberryperl only supports Win32, not Windows CE.

Have you tried the Perl Porters' archive? And I found this site.

actually perl on Windows mobile will be really soon now, this is guaranteed by the running grant on the subject
And it even will be equipped with Tk GUI.

Actually right now building perl on WinCE currently done easier than for arm-linux, but I expect both linux and wince during a couple of weeks already.
