Well, yes, I was joking. But to address your problems: Personally, I don't think the OEIS should be included just to make ".. *" smarter - but for other reasons than you point out.

      I personally believe that it's by far too verbose, losing the original attempt at conciseness, but the latter could be recovered by means of of suitable (pseudo? unofficial?r) protocol/scheme (or whatever it's really called like...) so I think that the Perl 6 syntax should really be:

      1,-3,-8...oeis://A046970
      How's that for self-documenting code?
