I've been hard at work hacking out the next release of Apache2::ASP.
The new version supports rich page composition via "Master Pages." These are sort of like includes, but completely in reverse. Think of it more like "This page is a sub-class of that page."
Partial- and Full-page caching (partitioned by Session parameter and/or request parameter) will be supported Real Soon Now has been written and will be included in the next Dev release.
Because of issues with the original XML configuration format and some nasty warts needed in the httpd.conf, the entire config model is brand new and (hopefully) addresses these problems.
Existing websites running Apache2::ASP will need to be carefully upgraded because of breaking changes in the configuration.
Apache2::ASP v2.01 will mark the "production-ready" release, and is a few days off.
Regards,
John Drago
