cooiebird has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I am willing to pay someone for some one on one perl tutoring. I am in way over my head in this bioinformatics class. Any takers?

You should probably post on jobs.perl.org. I think they allow this kind of thing (paid tutor as opposed to contract/job). If you're very specific about what you want to learn, what you can afford to pay, etc and so on, you'll get better responses.

If you really want to learn Perl you may even find someone willing to impart their knowledge for free; I'm always a fan of helping out someone who genuinely wants to know something new (be it Perl or some other subject).

On the other hand, if you're just trying to pass a uni/college course I'd encourage you to have a strong think about whether you're doing what you really want to be doing..

IRC is often helpful if you have specific questions to ask, I'm sure people won't mind you paypal'ing them a couple of dollars...
