Herkum has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I keep getting error using XML::XPath

undefined entity at line 251, column 17, byte 13602: <br>Hubertusstrasse 2 <br>D-85521 Ottobrunn <br>Gebührenfreie Rufnummer: 0800 273 28 27 ================^ <br>Agentur Direktwahl: +49 (0)89 608 066 0 <br>Fax: +49 (0)89 608 066 33 at /usr/local/perl5.10/lib/site_perl/5.10.0/i686-linux/XML/Parser.pm +line 187

I know it is a parser error but I will be damned if I know that I am looking at or what to do about? HELP!

      Is this supposed to mean that the character that it is looking at, it does not know what it means? OK, so how do I deal with it?

        Like the linked document says,

        You can include all these character entities into your DTD, so that you won't have to worry about it anymore

        It then proceeds to show an example.

    where is this XML coming from?

    it sounds like you have an &something-not-known-by-the-parser;... likely this critter ¼
