Many thanks. I just upgraded my Strawberry Perl to version 5.10.0.3. To install PDL, I just fired up a cpan shell and did this:

cpan> install PDL
[download]

and it worked perfectly. It wasn't this easy on earlier versions of PDL/Strawberry Perl.
