See How does system(1,"foo") work on Windows?.... you may need the weird windows "system(1,prog.pl)" to return control properly to the calling script. I don't use windows, so I'm not sure.

    Is this an undocumented feature of Perl? Because system doesn't mention it, although it works (as I found by trying it out).
