Hello monks! i have assignments to implement RDT 1.0 & 2.2 over udp, i want to do it in perl, but couldn't find enough information to start, e.g how to maintain connection between host and server? so that they could exchange data. Any one can guide me from where to start? (i just want help,) tanx

    UDP is connectionless, so RDT is typically accompanied by RTSP and SDP which handle session control, and RTCP for stream control.

    CPAN has a rather old implementation of RTSP-Lite which could be a starting point.

    Here is a link for perl IPC documentation that includes socket programming samples.

    What specifically do you want help with? Have you googled and read about how UDP works? That's where I'd start.

    Also, check out perlipc.
