pauloke has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:
I was wondering (maybe way off track on the usage of this module) but can find be called within find with no issues.
The background to this question is I have code that will find all subdirectories 2 levels down and I am currently using a subrotine within wanted to calculate the size of each of these subdirectories and storing this in a hash. This subroutine uses opendir, readdir, closedir but it appears slow. I was wondering if it was possible to call find again within wanted and if this would be quicker.
Hope this makes sense. I am in a coporate environment and cannot install more modules that what is standard (dont even have File:Find:rule).
Any suggestions welcome :-)
Regards,
P
