I recently began using Perl on a consistent basis after starting a new job (the first time I've been paid to code Perl!). PerlMonks has been an invaluable resource and I'm glad it's still around even though I haven't been here much since early this decade.

It amazes me how nearly all the questions I'd like to ask are already answered by Searching and Super Searching and Googling and looking around CPAN. It's not often you see this kind of community in the development world. Thank you, Perl Monks!

I am jealous that you are getting paid to program in Perl. I agree that PerlMonks is da bomb. Anytime someone says Perl is dead, I point them to this site and tell them to post a question and time how long it takes to receive a response.

    Thanks,
