Which platform? Maybe the following nodes are useful starters... Most efficient File Modified check (w/o warnings) advertising Linux::Inotify2 detecting file changes advertising Win32::ChangeNotify ... alternatively, you could poll periodically using e.g. stat and readdir...	[reply]

You can take a look onto Linux::Inotify2 for directory monitoring, though it's Linux specific and seems not exactly what you want.	[reply]
