jdlev has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I'm looking for a way to not only specify the date, but also specify a specific time. So say for instance I wanted a stock price at 10am on the Jan, 1st, 2008. Is there a module that allows you to look at stocks on an intraday level? Also, any idea on where to find a database of that information? Thanks!
I love it when a program comes together - jdhannibal

Such information is only available commercially, for example from Bloomberg and Reuters. Usually, they provide you with an online database, which you can query through DDE or OLE, or with a custom format which you can then parse. I'm not aware of any free databases for such, and also not aware of Perl modules that parse the custom formats.
