    I would be happy to go, but the cost is prohibitive at best. I do not have $1000 to throw around. I don't understand why it has to be so expensive (well, I do...but I don't have to like it). DefCon is only $50. Conferences are better when cheap (or, like sex and OSs, free).

    I wish there were another discount category: the number of CPAN modules you have published and their estimated popularity. I don't see any presentations by Tim Bunce, but I do feel that he should get in free, don't you?

    But yes, I don't have 1000.00 laying around. Unless we start a "buy a princepawn" fund ... and fast!
