TIMTOWTDI is not (just a) marketing phrase. It's a design principle. And while almost any modern high level programming language happens to give you more than one way to do something, it's not always intentional nor appreciated. Some language designers believe rather in "the one true way" and some language designers strive for a minimal design. Which goes directly against Perl's TIMTOWTDIness and its love for shortcuts. It's not necessarily a bad thing, it's just different.
