dbae has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Does anyone know how I can get a copy of pfa2pfb.pl? This is a perl program for translating a font with suffix pfa to a font with suffix pfb. I'm not sure what these suffixes mean, but the "a" in pfa seems to stand for ascii and the "b" in pfb for binary. Mathematica provides .pfa fonts. But dvips, the program associated with TeX, wants .pfb fonts. Apologies if this is not the right place to ask such a question. Thanks for any help. David Epstein
