I've never used PDF::CreateSimple but the Makefile.PL shows that Error is required. You could try installing that.

Also see Yes, even you can use CPAN along with Installing Modules from the tutorials section of this site.

    Oh yes ! that helps. I hadn't realised Error was a module, just thought it was part of an error (lowercase) message. Thanks I'll give that a go.
