madhu.hanigadde has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi monks, I am writing a perl script to take over the asterisk log from a remote machine to my local machine. When I intiate the asterisk in the remote system the log should be displayed on my machine, for that am thinking to use expect_out, but am not getting results. Please help me out.

What log you are willing to take from asterisk, is it CDR log or logs found in /var/log/asterisk/ or something else?.
I don't understand what do you mean by expect_out, please give more clarity on it.
Define your problem clearly to get suggestions/guidelines quickly.
