HTML::EmbperlObject and Apache

Stegalex has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Does HTML::EmbperlObject run under Apache 2.2? Better yet, has anyone figured out how to get Embperl::Object to run on Mac OS X?
