Re^7: puts vs say

What I'm saying is: why bother with say at all. Why not write your own say that does what you want? If say is meant to be a convenience function, then it should actually *be convenient*.

But what if I want to always add a newline regardless of what is being said? The functionality you want would be less convenient for me. And you didn't even know bears could type.	[reply]
