Perl and Crystal Reports

dreadpiratepeter has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Anyone had any luck parsing crystal reports .rpt files with Perl? I have looked at Win32::OLE::CrystalRuntime::Application but it does not appear to build properly under active state, and besides it is overkill for what i need to do, which is to pull the report title out of the file.

I have looked all over for information on the file format to no avail. I figure I would ask here and see if any of my fellow monks have solved this before.

Win32::OLE::CrystalRuntime::Application contains pure perl code as far as I can see. Try a CPAN install or failing that a manual install: `perl Makefile.PL nmake nmake test nmake install` [download]	[reply] [d/l]
