so "volatile gas" is an oxymoron.

I said: "small amount of volatile gas under sufficient pressure to cause it to be liquid".

So, I guess I should have said "volatile liquid under sufficient pressure to prevent it from vaporising"?

That would have been better, although just "volatile liquid" would have been sufficient. Information about American English usage here and here. Floating point issues? Please read this before posting. — emc	[reply]
