I like dry wines, had a nice New Zealand dry Reisling at weekend. A good Muscadet sur lie on a hot day.

I love real ciders though. Proper stuff, not too strong or rough but still, unpasturised and made with apples. (Perry is good too, the real stuff again). A local producer makes one with rhubarb in it. Very nice on a hot day.

I like some ales.

I spirits, a good aged rum or metaxa, calvados, cognac.
