Maybe $_ in the inner loop is causing locking? Test with

for (1..7235617){
    for my $i (1..100000){    
       $tmp = $_;
    }
}

The LOCKS are not in the inner loop!!! The same behaviour when i put your code in Test1... The solution for this is the less important, the motives for that, its what I want?	[reply]
