I saw some people have on their homenode some section with the title 'Interesting nodes'. Wouldn't it be absolutely out of this world if we could(like on reddit) just save a link and decide if we want the collection of links to be made public ? Or just be able to save links, and then check out the links , a kind of bookmarking system. It would be really useful.

It is very easy indeed. But first you have to turn on your "bookmarks nodelet". Actually it is called the "Personal nodelet", but you can think of it as a "bookmarks nodelet".

To enable it, go to your Nodelet Settings. Yes, just click that link. (It will be easier if you open it in a separate tab/window.)

Now find the row in the right-hand column named "Personal Nodelet", and enter a non-zero number in the space beside it. (This assumes that the "Use my frontpage nodelets everywhere" checkbox at the top is not checked. If it is checked, then do this in the left-hand column instead of the right-hand column.)

        And click Submit.

Now you have your Personal Nodelet enabled, and you will see it in your nodelet bar at all times. Initially it contains no bookmarks. As you add bookmarks, you will see them listed in this nodelet.

The Personal Nodelet has four links at the bottom: Edit, Add, Public, and Private. To add a bookmark, click the Add link.

This will bookmark the current node (whichever one you are viewing at the time you click the link) in your Personal Nodelet.

Please let me know if these instructions are unclear in any way.
