`$DBI::errstr` gives the actual database error message from the last DBI method called. See DBI.pm for more information.	[reply] [d/l]

Yes, expresspotato needs to put that in his code and report back. I was responding to dHarry, whose question seemed to be more like "what is this?", rather than "what does this do when you try it?". Interestingly enough though, my response got a bunch of down votes. I wouldn't down vote someone who was genuinely trying to help but misinterpreted a question. Seems pretty counter productive to me in that it could discourage people from trying to help out.	[reply]
