Tif Images module

CaMelRyder has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi, I'm looking to mangle some multi-page .tif files. Specifically, I need to be able to extract images from a multi-paged tiff and also to be able to compose new multi-page tiffs programmatically. Can anyone suggest a module to make this nice, neat, and pretty for me?
