Business date - Delivery days

Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi!
Let's say that I have specified that a product should be delivered in X day, and I'd like to use Perl to find out which date it can be delivered.
In other words, I need to take weekends and holidays into account.
I've looked at Date::Calc, but can't seem to find the optimal solution. Any ideas?

I thought there was a pretty trivial way to do this using the DateTime suite, but I'm not finding the recipe. Business::Hours::add_seconds should work, though. -- Online Fortune Cookie Search Office Space merchandise	[reply]

Thanks, Business::DateTime is what I had been thinking of. DateTime::Fiscal::Year doesn't really apply, and DateTime::BusinessHours solves the opposite problem (how long in business time between two datetimes). -- Online Fortune Cookie Search Office Space merchandise	[reply]

Take a look at CPAN module Date::Business at http://www.cpan.org/~desiminer/Date-Business-1.2/Business.pm. I think it'll do what you want. ack Albuquerque, NM	[reply]
