Did you post a similar question on the OpenOffice.org Forum?

If so there are examples of automating Open Office using both Win32::OLE and OpenOffice::UNO (which Corion told you about in Doc to Pdf conversion), super search on this topic for similar questions and replies, such as About open office.

Hi The example at OpenOffice::UNO which u mentioned is compleatly useless. I understood nothing. What I would need is a real example which uses OpenOffice::UNO to open a Word-document and saves it as odt-document. If anyone could post such code this would be really cool!! Alex	[reply]

Alex, OpenOffice::UNO is a straight bridge to the OpenOffice.org API, so the definitve reference is in the OpenOffice.org SDK.
