Parse Excel with Macros and Formulae

Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I am trying to parse a excel using ParseExcel but this excel file contains formule and macros to populate the sheet which the script is tring to read. The result of cell values is ziltch. Please advise.
