Open Source Language Roundtable

Perhaps of interest, O'Reillys Open Source Language Roundtable webcast from OSCON. Representing Perl is Jim Brandt (of the Perl Foundation):

"We all have our favorite languages in our tool-belt, but is there a "best" overall language? If anyone can hash that out, it will be the members of this roundtable discussion, some of the stars of the open source language space."

Is the webcast description supposed to sound like flame bait? Are they really having a holy war webcast? With all those representatives, I'd hope to hear something more .. meaty.	[reply]

I didn't get a chance to watch it live (3am my localtime IIRC), so I'm waiting for it to be posted online. I took the description directly from the page, and interpreted it to be lighthearted rather than anything else. Cheers Martin	[reply]
