I'm not against the idea of letting users who reach friar status submit pictures to be added to the rotation. They'll need to be the same size, be transparent gifs, and wearing reddish shirts. We'll probably lower the probability of user pics showing up so we still keep 1/2 to 2/3 of the monks the old standards.
Some monks have added their pictures to their home nodes(just images hosted offsite) keep em clean....:
So far I've seen

What happened to this idea? I love the concept. Are you accepting pictures?

Can someone explain to me the symbolism of the red shirts? Thanks. -The Clueless Adam

I will attempt to get a photograph of myself writing Perl while seated on a camel in the Nile delta, though it may be a couple of weeks. | [reply] |
I just added my silly pic to my home node... Enjoy! (NOT)

Hey! I like that! It would be nice to get to know what the other monks look like. Wouldn't it be interesting if by chance you end up meeting someone later on that you've actually seen on perlmonks? Of course it would be even better if there were an alttext for the pic.

I was just thinking of this idea, though vroom hasnt put into effect yet i think that it would be great (and maybe lower the level down to monk) | [reply] |
I added a picture on my home node, but all I had was a scan of my ID photo.
The DMV has some great photographers, don't they?
