Text Formating : Changing font style of output text

ajay.awachar has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi All,

I want to change font style of perl output text. I need to change font style to bold for headings. I tried using Curses and Term::ANSIColor modules. But as these modules are not currently installed on production boxes, I am looking for whether there is any other way by which I can still change the font style of the text.

OUTPUT

Node Time(Should be in bold font):  time in normal font.

Issues Identified (bold font) : issue text in normal font

What platform are you on? Does it need to be portable? You might be able to use escape sequences to do what you need. Just a thought.	[reply]
