For me a brainstorming begins with collecting goals, not means. For me an IDE or text editor should make perl programming

The one means that I'd like and that is missing on your list is integration with a REPL.

    some people consider the debugger a REPL, but as a frequent user of sepia I gladely add REPL to the list. 8)
