Whenever anyone says anything that might be taken as bad about someone with a bit darker skin, someone is surely to jump up screaming "racism".

I think the mention alone that somebody is from India doesn't qualify as racism. But the post in question had one line nonsense, one line offense one one line referring to the OP being from India.

It's this combination that made the post seemed racist to me, and made me vote for "reap". I'm sure I wouldn't have voted that way if it was only for the last line, and not the previous two.

I think we should try hard to keep the Perl community friendly and welcoming.
