Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Has anyone else installed the latest release of Strawberry Perl? (v 5.10.0.6) If so, does your virus scan software report a Trojan Horse infection in the strings.exe program? I installed this release yestderday and this morning my AVG Virus Scanner detected Trojan horse Generic 14.AXIV. Is the executable truly infected or is this a known anomaly? Thanks!

probably a false positive, clamscan doesn't report anything, but you should upload to AVG to make sure
