Download the full tar.gz file and build it (see DBD::Oracle according to the instructions in the README file.

On win32, depending on your perl version (again if I remember correctly), there are precompiled versions of this as well.

You cannot just download the .pm file and put it somewhere in this case. A database linkage can be very complex.

Are you looking for the module itself or are you having problems connecting via the command line tool "cpan"?

If it is the former, CPAN is your friend. You can enter "DBD::Oracle" into the search box at the top. This will take you to a list that includes all of the modules. The actual link to the module is DBD::Oracle.

If you are having trouble using the command line tool cpan, there could be many reasons - from "not connected to the internet" to "firewall in the way" to misconfigured cpan or ftp. It is best to fix that problem. DBD::Oracle has a lot of dependencies and the command line tool "cpan" will make sure everything you need is put in the right place.

In the meantime, you can download the source manually if you already have DBD installed. The source code is available via a link at the top of the page (labelled "Source") and you can download the source that way.

    Best, beth
