    Yeah, I'm getting the same:
C:\_32>ppm install Math::FFT Downloading ActiveState Package Repository packlist...redirect Downloading ActiveState Package Repository packlist...redirect Downloading ActiveState Package Repository packlist...redirect Downloading ActiveState Package Repository packlist...redirect Downloading ActiveState Package Repository packlist...redirect Downloading ActiveState Package Repository packlist...redirect Downloading ActiveState Package Repository packlist...redirect Downloading ActiveState Package Repository packlist...redirect Downloading Math-FFT-1.28...redirect Downloading Math-FFT-1.28...redirect Downloading Math-FFT-1.28...redirect Downloading Math-FFT-1.28...redirect Downloading Math-FFT-1.28...redirect Downloading Math-FFT-1.28...redirect Downloading Math-FFT-1.28...redirect Downloading Math-FFT-1.28...redirect ppm install failed: 302 Moved Temporarily
I'd say it's either some sort of temporary, planned outage ... or someone at AS has fucked up bigtime :-)

I'm subscribed to the PPM mailing list, so I'll send off a post to see if I can get further info. (If I get a reply, I'll post again to this thread.)

Update: At least, I *will* send off such a post if the pea-brained morons at Optus (my ISP) can ever get their mail server fixed ... geez, if it's not one thing ... now, where's that bottle of wine ...

    Cheers,
    Rob
The ppm log command tells me there's a problem with ppm4.activestate.com. 2009-10-07T10:37:35 <6> Web.pm:63 GET http://ppm4.activestate.com/MSWin32-x86/5.10/1006/package.xm l ==> 302 Moved Temporarily (334 bytes in 0.25 sec - 1 KB/s) Setting the environment variable ACTIVEPERL_PPM_DEBUG=1 doesn't give me much more information. It just says there's a problem with lib/ActivePerl/PPM/Client.pm line 973. The URL prefix http://ppm4.activestate.com/MSWin32-x86/5.10 seems to be working but anything deeper than that makes my firefox browser say the page isn't properly redirecting.

    Try typing this:
    perl -MCPAN -e shell o conf no_proxy localhost q
It's a WILD guess, but maybe you should also include the *EXACT* error message...? Using <CODE> tags of course.

    Update
Sorry, that's obviously not going to work since you're using PPM. I suppose it's just as important for me to READ this little information you provide as it is for you to supply it :)

Please be specific about which module you're installing and include the error message. Again, use <CODE> and </CODE>

    Update 2
Since writing this, mecrazycoder has updated the original node with CODE tags and a quote of the error message. Good thing to do, but it's also nice to add updates like this.

shame these type of replies, wonder why people are turning away from Perl.
