syphilis has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi,
Is there a guide somewhere to smoking perl on MS Windows ?
I'm interested in smoking perl with the mingw port of gcc-4.4.0, and with the mingw64 port of gcc-4.5.0 (experimental).
I find that perl builds flawlessly and tests pretty well (but not flawlessly) with both of those compilers - though the patches required for the x64 build have not yet been integrated into the official perl sources (a state of affairs that I'm currently trying to rectify).

I'm thinking that smoking these 2 environments might help with the development of perl in these 2 areas. Is that right ?

Cheers,
Rob

      Thanks for the three links.
      The FAQ looks especially helpful.

      Cheers,
